A non-professional cast of New York City boxers, an action-packed script, and the guiding hand of legendary producer Roger Corman add up to a gritty B-classic. Rage and Discipline (2004), Brian Clyde’s well-received ringside drama, chronicles the efforts of a star Harlem boxer (Troy Johnson) to make the leap to pro and still afford to feed the family. Unfortunately Troy (Johnson) falls into the trap of drug dealing and quickly finds himself booted from his boxing club. Furious, the fighter teams with a mob boss (Joe Suba) for an ill-advised second chance at stardom. Clyde’s drama is gritty and often difficult to watch, and the scene in which lead actress Danni Ne’Cole is violated is no exception. Looking past the violent subject matter, however, there’s no denying the appeal of Ne’Cole’s heaving breasts.
