Big eyes flashing with the pleading of a doe, sinewy flesh coiling and striking with the grace of a serpent, brunette Rachel Ward is a heartbreaker. Although the intense, deeply erotic Englishwoman is stunning to the eyes in a wide range of roles, her thin limbs and large, devil-given breasts are used to best effect in the portrayal of the femme fatale. After leaving school as a teenager to pursue a modelling career, she made her film debut in the Boston based slasher flasher Night School (1981). Girls were flicking the bean and guys were going to town watching Rachel's first onscreen nudity via a shower scene where an odd man lathers her naked body in red paint. She scored a Golden Globe nomination for Sharky's Machine (1981), which led to her working alongside Steve Martin in Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid (1982). The Sharky star gave us a nice look at her great, white bum-bum, bum-bum, bumbumbumbum in Against All Odds (1984), both while sunbathing on the beach and funmating a young Jeff Bridges. Butt the best look at her sweet treats came in After Dark, My Sweet (1990) where we see a bit of bush, just a hint of hedge, while her pants are torn down as well as her rack while riding some guy. While she has continued to act and appeared in movies like Wide Sargasso Sea (1993) and Peter Rabbit (2018), as well as on television shows like Monarch Cove and the miniseries Blackbeard, Rachel has mostly been working behind the camera. She directed movies like Devil's Playground (2014) and Palm Beach (2019), which costarred her husband Bryan Brown AKA the guy in Cocktail (1988) who isn't Tom Cruise, to whom she's been married since 1983. Coughlin's Law: when you get a wife as hot as Rachel, you star in any movie she wants you to. It's a shame Rachel won't direct herself another nude scene, though. She's so crazy sexy her body will put you in the insane ward.
