Quiet Days in Clichy (1970)

There were plenty of pioneering dirty books just waiting to be made into art films in the wake of the sexual revolution. Those liberated filmmakers of Denmark didn’t waste any time adapting Henry Miller’s 1940s porn-for-pay epic Quiet Days in Clichy as Stille dage i Clichy (1970). Paul Valjean and Wayne Rodda star as horny Americans “Joey” and “Carl,” who are dedicated to writing and getting laid. They cavort with some real-life prostitutes from Paris, plus a supporting cast of seriously sexy hippie girls. The actual film is kind of composed on the level of a silent movie. The filmmakers occasionally even have to display some text to explain certain plot holes. On the other hand, audiences were eager to see a whole lotta holes from Louise White, Ulla Koppel and Susanne Krage. Prudish Lisbet Lundquist, however, just goes topless. Ulla will make you real happy and hard at the 12-minute mark when her banana boobs, bunnage, and scant bush as Koppel enjoys some sex. Elsebeth Reingaard shows off her ass at the 35-minute mark as it peeks out under her shirt as she serves coffee. Oh, it'll hype you up alright! Susanne Krage shows us her full frontal fun as she gets munched by a lucky dude. A few minutes later the whole scene turns into a foursome when Susanne, another girl, and two guys pile into bed. They put the "cum" in communal fun! This is the type of flick that every flesh fiend should see, and wank to, at least once!
