Prime Target (1991)

Prime Target (1991) stars David Heavener as John Bloodstone, a renegade copper who takes up an offer to transport a mobster only to find himself the target of a devious scheme. Seems he's gone against orders one too many times, and a passel of politicos and crooked feds wants to get rid of him once and for all. And though he's on suspension for handling a bank robbery his own way—with a blow torch!—he's called in anyway when crime lord Tony Curtis needs a cross-country escort. Dave's dubious, but he's also a dude in debt, so he takes the job. But it's not long before he realizes that the whole thing is a set-up. He and Tony were never meant to finish the trip! Now the two must team up to beat the bastards who want to hustle them off to the hereafter.
