Per favore, occupati di Amelia (1982) is the kind of comedy only a country as booty-obsessed as the penis-shaped Italy can produce. It’s the story of a committed playboy, a bawdy bachelor who plays the field like a weed, springing up on any curvy landscape. But when he discovers the only way to receive his inheritance from his mother is to marry, well, that’s a dilemma. Rather than give up all the various squeezes he pokes throughout the film, such as África Pratt--who opens the movie with breasts as big as the Dark Continent she’s named after--he chooses a hair-brained scheme that sets the comic mechanics into motion. Barbara Bouchet plays the woman he plans to deceive his family with, but the movie loses credibility at this point. Who wouldn’t want to spend matrimonial bliss with this blonde temptress?
