Pensées et visions d'une tête coupée (1991)

Director Olivier Smolders dedicates a surreal short film to the life of Belgian painter Antoine Wiertz in Pensées et visions d'une tête coupée (1991).  Quotes from the long dead artist are interspersed with long shots of his work, interviews with tour groups and historians, and reenactments of the subjects of his paintings are all featured. Some of Wiertz’s most horrific painting are brought to life in sequences containing guillotined heads, a pig being slaughtered, infanticide, and murderous tentacled monsters.Frequent Smolders collaborator Catherine Aymerie takes her clothes off for this art piece (of ass), and we get to see her titillating torpedoes and heavenly hindquarters as she lies in bed and poses topless in front of a painting.
