Paradise (1991)

Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson star in Mary Agnes Donoghue’s lyrical melodrama Paradise (1991). The real-life husband-and-wife team plays a couple whose marriage has experienced a sudden chill, primarily as a result of the death of their three-year-old son. When a ten-year-old boy (Elijah Wood) is sent to their town of Paradise for a summer in the country, the couple takes him under their wing, thereby revisiting memories of their deceased son’s cherished childhood. Donoghue’s feature is a three-hankie affair, and guys will be bummed to discover that the sexy Griffith stays clothed throughout. Nevertheless, co-star Sarah Trigger takes up her slack by ripping off her top during one brief but racy moment.
