Othello (Stageplay) (2005)

Shakespeare’s tragic tale of intrigue, jealousy, and murder gets an artful dressing down in Othello (Stageplay) (2005), a German television production directed by Stefan Pucher. Alexander Scheer plays the powerful hero Othello, who falls prey to treachery when the evil Iago frames Cassio and Desdemona. German bombshell Jana Schulz convincingly inhabits the role of the slain maiden, whose beauty provokes the suspicious Moor’s wrath. Lisa Marie Janke is similarly compelling as the hussy Bianca, even dropping her top for one of her character’s famous soliloquies.
