Optic Fiber (1998)

Our neighbors in Mexico are pretty adept at knocking out the occasional thriller, as seen by the fine potboiler Optic Fiber (1998). Lumi Cavazos stars as a woman who’s framed for murdering a mob figure, while a local reporter from the Arts section sets out with his girlfriend to find the real killer. It’s a worthwhile story, too, since the investigation also uncovers the Mexi-cans of Cavazos and Christianne Gout.
