One of the most strikingly beautiful women to ever grace the silver screen, Faye Dunaway has appeared in some of the most influential films ever made (Bonnie Clyde, Chinatown, Network, to name but three). In honor of the blonde beauty's 77th birthday yesterday, we've decided to make Faye our Actress of the Week this week!
In just her third film, 1968'sBonnie and Clyde, Faye endeared herself tomen everywhere, who fell in love with her devil may care portrait of one of the most notorious outlaws in history. It also marked the first time she went nude on screen, something handled really delicately in the waning days of the Hays Code. She notched one more nude scene in that decade, 1969'sThe Arrangement, before continuing to blaze a nudity trail throughout the 70s, going nude in Doc, Chinatown, and then in her Oscar winning role in Network!
Sadly it's been over thirty years since her last nude scene in Barbet Schroeder's Barfly, but as her Oscar gaffe this past March taught us, she's never all that far outside the public conscience! While another nude scene from her seems unlikely, we're certainly glad to have gotten all the skin we did from her when we did!
