Some big name stars turn up in the buff on this day in movie nudity history, with such beauties as Margot Robbie, Alice Eve, Melissa George, and Julianne Moore among many others. Let's look back on February 27 in Movie Nudity History!

2015: Focus

On This Day in Movie Nudity History: February 27

In an effort to make this middling caper flick seem racier than it was, some pre-release publicity surrounded the "steamy sex scene" between stars Will Smith and Margot Robbie. Apparently their chemistry was so electric that people hinted at an affair between the two, though Smith's wife Jada Pinkett-Smithtold US Magazinethat the scene actually turned her on...

"You know, it’s kind of a nice voyeuristic way to see your man, but I am kind of weird in that way, that’s a whole other conversation." (Her comments come after it was rumored that Smith had cheated on her with his significantly younger costar Robbie in Australia in November 2013. Later, Robbie slammed the rumors as "ridiculous," maintaining that there was "absolutely no truth" to the claims.)

Man, what a scene this was going to be. 22 minutes in, the scene happens and this is the extent of Margot's nudity—hint, she's the one on top...

I mean, don't get me wrong, a topless scene is a topless scene, but come on. Really? This was what all that hype was about. Man alive, I was expecting Banderas/Jolie levels of animalistic sex and this was all we got. Oh well, there's also some quick bonus butt from co-star Daniella Short in a separate sex scene 24 minutes later...

2015: Maps to the Stars

Four years ago today we got David Cronenberg's last theatrically released film. Hopefully he's got a bunch more in him, but it's strange that he's gone nearly five years without even announcing a film going into production. Viggo Mortensen said in 2016 that he was considering retiring because of the difficulty he's had securing financing for his films, and I sincerely hope that's not true.

This certainly wouldn't be a case of his last film being his worst, should that prophecy fulfill itself, but it's kind of a completists only kind of entry in his filmography. Just 26 minutes in we get a steamy lesbian scene between Julianne Moore and Jennifer Gibson, who were having a threesome when the dude got up to answer his phone. They keep the party rolling without him...

In a strange turn of events, Jennifer is momentarily replaced with a topless Sarah Gadon, who is now something of a Cronenberg regular having appeared in A Dangerous Method, Cosmopolis, and even son Brandon Cronenberg's film Antiviral...

This flick also brought us a topless Olivia Williams crying in a bathtub. While it's not as sad as crying while jerking off like Dylan McDermott on American Horror Story, it is pretty damn sad...

Hopefully Cronenberg snaps this dry spell sometime soon, and though I'm sure he's been busy doing other things, we need another Cronenberg film or five.

2009: Crossing Over

A decade ago today, many of us first became acquainted with Alice Eve. The stunning blonde beauty had done some sexy work on-screen prior to this film, including in the comedy Starter for 10, but her star exploded after her extended nude appearance in this immigration "everyone is connected" ensemble drama.

Alice plays an Australian model attempting to secure a green card via a rather unscrupulous INS officer played by Ray Liotta. Liotta seems to be holding Eve hostage and using her for sex without delivering her a green card as promised, likely because he knows that the incredible sex with Alice Eve would stop immediately upon her discovering his ruse.

30 minutes in we get their first sex scene together and you can tell from the look on Alice's face that she's already over this Chantix-popping putz...

We also get some bonus frontal from Alice's co-star Melody Zaraat the 96 minute mark when ICE officers raid her house as she is getting banged by a dude...

This is a discount version of Crash, which itself was the discount version of Traffic, so adjust any expectations you have accordingly. Better to stick to Mr. Skin's policy of fast forwarding to the good parts of this one.

2004: Club Dread

On This Day in Movie Nudity History: February 27

The Broken Lizard troupe has put out filmswith wildly varying degrees ofcomedyover the years—for my money, they never topped the first ten minutes of Super Troopers—but one thing they pretty consistently bring to the table is some great nudity. This slasher horror Jimmy Buffett send-up manages a handful of decent laughs, but is mostly forgettable apart from the nudity. Sadly Brittany Daniel (above) doesn't make her nude debut here—she finally did it two years later—but a bunch of her co-stars do.

Just four minutes in we get a decently funny classic slasher movie set-up as some doofus is about to get it on with both blonde beauty Tanja Reichert and brunette babe Elena Lyons...

51 minutes later we get some gym-nasty moves from the foxy and flexible Jordan Ladd, who whips off her top to do a floor routine...

Beyond that, there's not much to recommend here. I'd say this falls well below Super Troopers and even Beerfest, but I would say it's better than both The Slammin' Salmon and Super Troopers 2 for any of you Broken Lizard completists out there.

1998: Dark City

My personal favorite film released on this day in history is director Alex Proyas' second movie, and if we're being honest here, it's his last good movie. One of the best high concept sci-fi films of the 90s, Dark Citywas a victim of studio interference in its initial release, but has grown in stature over time thanks to no less champions than film critic Roger Ebert.Filmed like a German expressionist film shot in Technicolor, the film is a mind-bending meditation on the notion of fate and destiny, and it also manages to pack in a lot of noirish beauties like Jennifer Connelly (above).

Australian beauty Melissa George made her feature film debut in this flick as well as her nude debut, showing off her boobs and buns for Rufus Sewell just 18 minutes in...

Fourteen minutes earlier, we got a quick topless flash from Natalie Bollard, who is lying dead on the floor, a victim of a serial killer—though the whole thing is actually a frame job on Sewell...

If you've somehow managed to make it for the last 21 years without having seen Dark City, remedy that immediately. It's one of the biggest and best high concept science fiction films of the 90s and one hell of a way to spend two hours.

1998: The Real Blonde

90s indie-filmmaking darling Tom DiCillo followed up his masterful 1995 film Living in Oblivion with this dramedy that features a look at even more superficial Hollywood wannabes. Like his previous effort, this one featured a brief topless flash from frequent collaborator Catherine Keener (above). However, this film is more rightly remembered for featuring the one and only nude appearance of one of the biggest geek girl legends of the 90s.

What do Billy Madison's Veronica Vaughn, Mortal Kombat's Sonya Blade, and Last Action Hero's Whitney all have in common? They were all played by Bridgette Wilson, who more or less left acting behind when she married tennis superstar Pete Sampras. She resided at or near the top of many guys' most desired list and the fact that this is her only nude scene ever makes it all the more special. It's not much of a topless debut as you can only see about half of her right breast—and none of her left—thanks to her male model co-star...

On This Day in Movie Nudity History: February 27

Again, it's not the best nude debut of all time, but as the one and only time we got to see that piece of ace Veronica Vaughn nude, it's not half bad!

1987: A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors

Arguably the best of all the Elm Street sequels, this one packs the most impressive cast with Patricia Arquette, Laurence Fishburne, Jennifer Rubin, and Body Double's Craig Wasson—in addition to all the returning favorites like Heather Langenkamp. And who could forget that amazing theme song from Dokken? It's the high water mark for Elm Street sequels, for sure, and it also features one of the best nude scenes of the franchise.

Stacey Alden appears as a nurse in the film and in a fantasy sequence, she undresses for the socially awkward mute boy Joey (Rodney Eastman)...

I'll tell you this, I expected every woman who ever undressed in front of me would reveal her breasts in this exact manner and it hasn't happened once in my entire life. On the plus side, I was never worried about this happening when I tried french kissing...

I mean come on, no one's dumb enough to think that could happen in real life, right? This on the other hand, happens every day to some guys, I'm convinced of it...
