A lot of movies are based on true stories, but sometimes the truth is even stranger than fiction. These movies with skincredible nude scenes are based on some of the weirdest, scariest, and strangest true stories around. You might not even realize that some of these are based on real events!

The Wolf of Wall Street

We love this film here at Mr. Skin thanks mostly to Margot Robbie's amazing full-frontal nude scene. The movie presents itself as a true story and it is, although it may seem hard to believe because of the way our scheming leading man narrates the film. Is he a reliable narrator? Not really, but he is a real person!

The movie is based on Jordan Belfort's memoir that details his rise to power and the eventual financial fraud that he committed. Belfort claimed that his publisher told him to tone down his wild stories. He claims that in real life he was on as many as 22 drugs at once while he was partying with the richest and hottest people in the world. With that many drugs in his system, it might be hard to believe everything he said. But he did definitely do jail time for fraud. He's now a free man working as a motivational speaker.

The Entity

It might be a hard sell to tell audiences that a paranormal movie is based on a true story - and a lot of them do. The Entity is one of those movies, but it has great nude scenes and an interesting story behind it. The story follows paranormal researchers in 1974 who were called to visit Doris Bither.

She claimed that a ghost was having sex with her at night. That definitely got people's attention. According to the paranormal investigators, apparitions and floating orbs were caught on camera which gave credence to this haunting.

At one point, the possessed woman is pinned to her bed by the invisible entity while the ghostly hands touch her body. Barbara Hershey plays our leading lady who wears prosthetic breasts during the scene where she is being touched by the spirit.

The Amityville Horror

Ready for another paranormal story? This one is famous and the true story is pretty layered because part of it IS true and part of it is believed to be a hoax. Either way, it's an interesting true story.

George and Kathy Lutz are a couple with several young children who move into their dream home, but they immediately start experiencing weird phenomena. Furniture moves, doors slam, the walls bleed, voices are heard, demons are seen, and dad appears to be possessed. There was a murder that happened in the house previously - which is why it was so cheap - in which a father killed his entire family. We are to believe then that the evil spirit of that father is possessing Mr. Lutz...or is it the demon that possessed that man in the first place?

George and Kathy Lutz were real people who moved into the real Amityville house and described their experiences for a book. But did they really happen? A story has since circulated that this was all a story that they made up over beers with their lawyer as a way to make money because the story about the original dad killing his family did happen. That part is real, but the Lutzes may have exploited that for financial gain.

Honestly, I would watch a movie that dramatized the couple drunkenly making this story up. Where's that movie?

One of the Lutz children has always contended that this really did happen and he was there. So who knows? The 1979 film was made shortly after this was all reported with the super sexy Margot Kidder playing Kathy Lutz. At least those breasts are 100% real.

Open Water

Movies like this really scare me. I don't want to be lost at sea, left to fend for myself in shark-infested waters. So when I learned that Open Water was based on a true story, I got the heebie-jeebies.

The movie follows a married couple named Tom and Eileen Longergran who unfortunately get stranded in the Coral Sea, just off of Australia's coast in 1998 when their scuba diving tour guide miscounted how many people were on his crew. The diving crew left them behind, leaving them to fend for themselves in the sea.

The couple was never found, but some of their gear eventually washed up on a beach 75 miles from where they were lost. One of the items that washed up on shore was a note written on the back of a diving license pleading for help. It's unfortunate, but it's very likely the couple drowned.

In the film, we get to enjoy watching Blanchard Ryan naked and in her bathing suit before the horror in the sea begins. If only we could dive in between those massive mams!

Hustlers

This 2019 film from director Lorene Scafaria was based on an article in New York Magazine that broke the story of strippers who scammed and hustled their wealthy Wall Street clients for their personal gain.

Jennifer Lopez plays Ramona, but the character she is based on is Samantha Barbash. Constance Wu's character's real name was Rosie Keo and I only give their real names to encourage you to look these women up. They are gorgeous! You know how sometimes Hollywood makes the people in the movie look way more attractive than in real life? This is not one of those times! Jen and Connie look a lot like the real hotties.

In real life, Samantha met Rosie at Larry Flynt's Hustler Club and came up with the following scam: cold-call a wealthy client and begin sending him sexts and selfies to entice him to visit, have him meet u with one of their girls over drinks, convince him to come to the club and then wear out his credit card so that the girls can make commission and the club can make a lot of money. Samantha called this "marketing", but it's actually a scam tactic called "fishing".

Barbash did not like her portrayal in the movie which is sort of crazy because I would think that it would be an honor to be portrayed by Jennifer Lopez. She claims that she was never a stripper, only a hostess. Whatever the case was, this movie lets us see Jennifer work a pole!

The Favourite

This critically acclaimed film from wild Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos earned Olivia Colman an Oscar for her portrayal of early 18th century English queen, Queen Anne. There's no doubt that Queen Anne was real, but you might be surprised to learn that her lesbian relationships and the political game that transpired were based on reality as well.

In reality, Queen Anne (Olivia Colman) and her companion Sarah (Rachel Weisz) were political opposites. Sarah was a Whig and Queen Anne leaned towards the Tories (political divides have been with us forever!). When Sarah's cousin Abigail (Emma Stone) was hired to be in Queen Anne's court, she did not realize that the Queen would like Abigail more than Sarah because Abigail was also a Tory. Thus Anne and Abigail grew closer...and closer...and closer.

This bothered Sarah, just like it did in the movie. In real life, however, Sarah was a lot nastier about it. She wrote the Queen vicious rumors accusing her of sleeping with Abigail and spread naughty stories about the Queen throughout the court. When the queen's husband died in real life, Sarah refused to wear mourning clothes.

Dead Ringers

This story is just plain weird. David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers is based on a novel that fictionalized these real unsolved deaths. Stewart and Cyril Marcus were twins who were also both gynecologists. They shared everything: their job, their New York City apartment, their drugs, and their women. There were reportedly a lot of drugs.

They were heavily addicted to barbiturates. Here's the weird part: the men both died, days apart from one another, of mysterious circumstances. Reportedly, Stewart died first and then Cyril lived a few more days and continued to live in the apartment with his dead bro still there. Creepy, right? If you needed a new creepy twin story, here it is.

The film version was made in 1988 and featured some sexy women nude. There is also supposed to be a TV series in the works starring Rachel Weisz. She just loves to sink her teeth into true stories!

Compliance

Honestly, this is the true story that gave me the inspiration to write this piece. I only recently learned details about the story that Compliance is based on and it is shocking.

In the movie, a man calls a fast-food restaurant called ChickWich claiming to be a police officer. He tells the manager that there has been a theft at her restaurant. He describes the suspect and the manager points out that it must be her employee Becky played by Dreama Walker. The officer tells Sandra that she has to help his investigation by conducting a strip search. She complies.

The true story is stranger AND it includes the nude scenes. This really did happen and it was the final straw in a string of incidents like this. A man was calling McDonald's and Long John Silver restaurants to give a vague description of someone that the police were looking for. The person on the phone would identify someone in the restaurant, either a customer or an employee. Then the person on the phone would convince them to help in their investigation by strip-searching them.

The movie is specifically based on an incident at a Mcdonald's that went too far. When the call came, the manager identified an 18-year-old employee who was about to clock out. She followed the instructions on the phone to detain the employee, strip search her, and make her perform a series of weird acts like dancing naked and doing jumping jacks in order to see if she was hiding any drugs on her.

The officer told the manager, who was female, to get a man to do the rest. She brought in her own fiance and that's where things got bad. During all of this, no one suspected that this was a hoax and they did everything they were asked. In the end, the fiance did 5 years in prison for complying, but the person who was believed to be behind the phone calls was found not guilty by a jury because they lacked any recording of the phone calls for evidence.
