George Segal pulls out all the stops to capture a lonely hearts killer in the suspenseful, star-studded thriller No Way to Treat a Lady (1968). Police detective Moe Brommel (Segal) doesn’t realize that the man behind a series of brutal murders is a thwarted actor with a Freudian hang-up (Rod Steiger). All he knows is that the killer’s cryptic phone calls and colorful costumes make him nearly impossible to catch. In true Hollywood fashion, the only way to catch the killer is to dangle fresh female bait. Lee Remick plays the beauty who’s put in harm’s way, with only a slinky orange dress for protection.
