Neil's Party (2005)

British director Stephen Pidgeon can’t hardly wait to take the plot of a Hollywood teen blockbuster and remake it for a UK cast. That’s pretty much the thinking behind Neil’s Party (2005), a light-hearted teen comedy about four friends who stage a house party in hopes of finally losing their virginity. Essentially a Union Jack retread of American Pie (1999), the film stars Andrew Casey as an eighteen-year-old who isn’t getting any. With some help from his chums, the young man sets out to convince his foxy classmate (Lauren Bigby) that friendship is fine but benefits are better. Emma Boardman and Emma Rice star as party girls who are coaxed into undressing by the four friends in hormone overdrive.
