Naked Came the Stranger (1975)

Fans of film regard 1975 as a banner year since it launched many master-flicks (Jaws, Nashville, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Barry Lyndon, Shampoo) as well as cult classics (Crazy Mama, Death Race 2000, Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze, Dolemite, Tommy, Switchblade Sisters). The year also ushered erotic films into the mainstream with The Happy Hooker, Once Is Not Enough, Supervixens, and Naked Came the Stranger. Released during the Golden Age of Porn, the latter pic was rated X for its candid coverage of sex. In it, Gilly (Darby Lloyd Rains) and Billy (Levi Richards) seem to have the perfect marriage. They work (hosting a radio show out of their Long Island mansion) and play together. But when Gilly comes home early one day, she discovers her hubby has a chubby for his secretary Phyllis (Mary Stuart). Instead of getting angry, Gilly pleasures herself while Phyllis fellates her man’s rod. Of course, it doesn’t take long for the happy homemaker decides to make all the dudes in the neighborhood.
