Undeniably one of the pioneering bands of the hair metal age, the story behind the band Mötley Crüe is almost as down and dirty as their music, and now they're getting the musical biopic treatment with The Dirt. Based on their bestselling autobiography of the same name written by the four members of the band—Vince Neil, Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx, and Mick Mars—along withNew York Times writer Neil Strauss, The Dirt looks to expose the seedier side of the band's history, all with their blessing.

Starring Daniel Webber (Neil), Machine Gun Kelly (Lee), Douglas Booth (Sixx), and Iwan Rheon (Mars), this Netflix Original marks the narrative feature debut from Jackass director Jeff Tremaine, who produced their 2016 documentary Motley Crue: The End. I don't know about you, but to me he really seems like the right guy to bring this wild and crazy story to life.

Other biopics about hard partying bands like The Doors, INXS, and NWAwere full of sex and nudity, so hopefully this flick will follow in their footsteps. In other words, I'd really be surprised if Tommy Lee is the only person running around hotels in nothing but some skimpy underwear.

The Dirt premieres on Netflix in all it's filthy, Dr. Feelgood glory on March 22.
