Motel Hell

Motel Hell (1980)

Brief Nudity

Review

At Motel Hello, the O on the signpost is burnt out. This makes for the clever movie title Motel Hell (1980), not to be confused with the similarly-named thrillers Play Motel (1979), Motel (1984), Motel Blue (1997) and Motel (1998). This humorous horror flick centers around proprietor Vincent Smith (Rory Calhoun) and his little sister Ida (Nancy Parsons), both of whom serve up some excellent jerky. That’s because guests check in but they don’t check out. In Sweeney Todd fashion, they’re buried neck-deep in a vegetable garden out back. Once their vocal cords are cut, the crop is fed until plump and juicy. Speaking of plump and juicy, titillating Terry (Nina Axelrod) makes a topless pass at Vincent. After he rejects her, she takes a bath and her sudsy sweethearts are peeped by Sheriff Bruce Smith (Paul Linke). Breast of all, the gorgeous gal shows off her pokies thanks to a wet white T-shirt! Written and produced by brothers Robert Jaffe and Steven-Charles Jaffe, the scary and silly story includes Debbie (Monique St. Pierre), Edith Olson (Elaine Joyce), Reverend Billy (Wolfman Jack), Suzi (Rosanne Katon), Mrs. Owens (Toni Gillman), and Female Terrible (Victoria Hartman). If that’s not enough, the cast features real-life twins Shaylin Hendrixson and Heather Hendrixson as well as an unidentified extra who goes full frontal while being chased from the local parking spot by that lucky sheriff. Despite its deadly service, this establishment deserves a four stiff rating for its nude boobage. In other words, check out Motel Hell.
