Miranda Otto is best known to American audiences for her parts in The Thin Red Line (1998), What Lies Beneath (2000), and the last two installments of The Lord of the Rings. But those supporting roles belie her star power Down Under, back in her native Australia that is. She wasted no time jumping to the top of the proverbial heap, taking on the title role in her debut film, Emma's War (1986). Before her fateful venture to Hollywood, Miranda commanded starring roles in such notable Australian pictures as Initiation (1987), The 13th Floor (1988), and The Girl Who Came Late (1991)--well, at least she came. Hopefully, that star power will prevail here in America. Mr. Skin would like to see her stick around . . . or her around a stick. Miranda's not so shy about shedding her threads onscreen, either. She first flashed her flappers in The Nostradamus Kid (1993) and thankfully continued the trend in such films as Love Serenade (1996), True Love and Chaos (1997), and In the Winter Dark (1998). She even briefly flashed some titty during a sex scene with Tim Robbins in Human Nature (2001), but it paled in comparison to her earlier exposure. The following year, however, Miranda was back in business, baring her beauties in the intense drama The Healer (2002)! It would be another 12 years before we'd see her bod in the buff again, but the western The Homesman (2014) brought us another look at her terrific tush! Keep it up, Miranda, you're Otto control!
