The first season of Netflix's Mindhunter was a probing look at the early days of criminal profiling and is a lot more riveting than it sounds. The show seems to be pulling out all the stops for its upcoming second season, featuring such notorious murderers as Charles Manson and David Berkowitz, aka Son of Sam.

Of course, the highlight of the first season for skin fans was the relationship between FBI Agent Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and the hellaciously hot Debbie Mitford (Hannah Gross). Their explicit sex scenes in the first two episodes provided a much needed respite from all the grim subject matter that followed, anddespite them breaking up in the season finale, we're hopeful that a new relationship could be on the horizon for Ford in season two, especially if its with co-star Anna Torv.

The first and last episodes of the upcoming season will be directed by the masterful David Fincher, whose control behind the camera set the tone for the series and gave it the forward momentum that it made it such a fascinating watch. This time around, Fincher will be sharing directing credit with both Andrew Dominik (The Assassination of Jesse James...) and Carl Franklin (One False Move), so it'll be nice having extremely capable directors handling the episodes in between.

Mindhunter returns for its second season two weeks from Friday, on August 16.
