There is much to be said for leaving well enough alone, but the Wall Street stockbroker who screws with his own success in Milk & Honey (2003) probably would not listen to any of it. Is there a good reason to propose to your wife after ten years of marriage? Probably not, and the begging husband’s motives are even more suspect if he drops to his knees before his helpmeet while both are attending a boozy party of flinty cosmopolites in New York City. What is this guy, crazy? In fact, he has recently been released from a place of psychiatric rest and relaxation. Before the night is out, the streets of Manhattan will be fully wandered, and both man and wife may be headed back to the nuthouse.
