Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer

This 1984 crime series marked the second attempt after 1956 to produce a TV series based on Mickey Spillane’s best-selling novels. The title role was played by Stacy Keach, whose charismatic portrayal of the title character earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a TV Series--Drama. The story follows the tough private eye Mike Hammer and his experiences while solving various crimes. Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer was very popular for quite a while before finally being cancelled in 1987. Interestingly, Keach unsuccessfully tried to reprise this role ten years later in a short-lived update of the series.  Nudity Report: None.
