Meeting Daddy (2000)

Meeting Daddy (2000), a romantic comedy, was Lloyd Bridges’s final film. It was a great way for the veteran actor to say goodbye. He plays the father of an eccentric Southern California family. Josh Charles is the fish out of water, as a New York writer come to help his girlfriend, played by Alexandra Wentworth, care for ailing Bridges. Alexandra, once a regular on In Living Color, makes for a sexy slapstick, especially when she's hosed down in a wet T-shirt. And Kristy Swanson, familiar to film buffs as the star of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992), plays Alexandra's best friend from high school. She also wears too-short skirts and flirts with Charles. Everything's in place in this comedy of manners, which is just waiting for you to watch and enjoy.
