Funny girl Maria Bamford was born to a family of intellectuals, with her father being a Navy doctor and her mom a therapist. Although she was born in California she spent several years as a child in Minnesota, and even went to college in Scotland. With her quality education and family of intellectuals as influences, she instead chose comedy as a profession, starting her stand up career at the age of 19. Maria has appeared in a number of movies and TV shows, but is probably more well-known for her wide-ranging voice work on cartoons like Hey Arnold!, CatDog, BoJack Horseman, and Adventure Time, as well as in animated movies like Stuart Little 2 (2002). While she's been busy as a voice actress, Maria's work in live action is nothing to sneeze at, starting with her role in the John Travolta comedy Lucky Numbers (2000). Maria is most accomplished on the small screen though, having played Louis C.K.'s girlfriend Maria on Louie, methadone addict Debrie Bardeaux on Arrested Development and Drea's mom Suzie on Everything's Gonna Be Okay. But even with more screen time than a neglected six year old, it wasn't until she had her own TV show, based on her own life, that Maria showed off her naughty side. On Lady Dynamite Maria shares a couple of awkward, but wet lesbian kisses with June Diane Raphael. She seems freaked out by the kiss, but it's still lit. Then she goes totally full frontal during an amazing episode that has her dodging censor blurs! TNT? No, that's what we call dynamite T and A! A little later and we see her getting her Barbarella (1968) on, in some space themed porno set. That work from BamFORD has us hard, like a rock! She's still doing standup on every late night show you can think of, as well as hosting What's Your Ailment? a show where she interviews comedians about their mental health issues.
