Madeline's Madeline (2018)

When a performance artist becomes a film director, you know audiences are in for a wacky experience. Such is the case for Josephine Decker and her movie Madeline’s Madeline (2018). Blending experimental visuals with an improvisational set up, the trippy indie flick was a box office flop. Nevertheless, Helena Howard was a success. As the titular character, she plays a stage actress within the film who takes her theatrical role too seriously. In other words, Madeline conflates her real life with her artsy part. Helena’s convincing performance paid off with nominations for Best Female Lead at the Independent Spirit Awards and as Breakthrough Actor at the Gotham Awards. The rising starlet also received the Future/now - Special Jury Prize at the Montclair Film Festival and the Narrative Feature Film Competition at the Sarasota Film Festival. Of course it goes without saying that Ms. Howard already won Mr. Skin’s heart (and hard-on) when she flashed her flesh on camera. During one scene, Madeline is seen taking an acting class. That’s when the sexy student pulls down her pants to moon her teacher. The same can be said of her colleague Nurse KK (Okwui Okpokwasili) as well as other pupils in the class. Translation: this student body puts the “ass” into class! The low-budget movie also includes Julee Cerda, Lisa Tharps, Molly Parker, Sunita Mani, and Miranda July’s protruding pokies! If that’s not hot enough, Ms. Howard struts her stuff in a skintight sports bra. Needless to say, Madeline shows off her scantily-clad Madelines!
