The comedy-series M.Y.O.B. (which stands for “mind your own business”) is another top candidate in the race for the fastest TV show ever to be cancelled. Shot in Burbank, California, it premiered on the 6th of June 2000 and disappeared only three weeks later. Now that’s what I call a short run! The story centered on Riley Veatch (Katharine Towne), an unhappy whiner who’s already had quite a messed up childhood. First she was adopted, then orphaned, and then left as a ward of the foster care system. At the age of sixteen Riley leaves Akron, Ohio and starts a quest for her birth mother in California.
