Lover Boy (1988)

The May-September romance gets a moody and creative spin in Lover Boy (1988), a powerful short film from Australia. At sixteen Noah Taylor is out of place with the local boys and prefers the company of forty-three-year-old Gillian Jones, whose grass he cuts. Soon he finds himself manicuring the lawn between her legs in a highly sensual and realistic portrait of love. When Gillian finds an age-appropriate lover, things turn dark. Gillian's new man beats her and Noah comes to her rescue. It gets tragic at that point, but you'll have to see it for yourself. And you have to see Gillian's pair, so well-preserved as to be more than enough to satisfy young and old.
