Leap of Faith

No Nudity

Review

Jenny Bicks, the Emmy award-winning creator of HBO’s Sex in the City, penned this single-camera sitcom about a close group of thirty-something friends. In the center of this group is Faith Wardwell (Sarah Paulson), a vivacious young woman who decides to break off her engagement with her “comfortable” fiancée and take a Leap of Faith back into single womanhood in the hopes of trading up to someone who will actually make her happy. She also gets often-questionable advice from her eccentric mother, Cricket Wardwell (Jill Clayburgh). She may play someone named “Cricket” on Leap of Faith, but Clayburgh also showed us her jumpin’ jimminies in An Unmarried Woman, as well as a passing glance at her gluteus maximus in Luna. Co-star Regina King almost took it off in Love and Action in Chicago, but alas, she paused at the bra. Hopefully, she’ll make like Halle Berry the next time and dis the robe “for all the black women out there.”
