The Shiver of the Vampires (1971)

By their very immortal nature, vampires offer a timeless topic to tackle on screen — from Germany’s silent movie classic Nosferatu (1922) to America’s online series Vampire Academy (2022). In between, Britain’s Hammer Studios released Dracula (1958), The Brides of Dracula (1960), Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966), and Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1968). By the next decade, France took its turn with Le Frisson des vampires (1970). Also known as The Shiver of the Vampires, Jean Rollin’s chiller diller follows a young couple honeymooning through the eastern European countryside. But when they stop for the night at an old castle, they get more than they bargained for. Audiences can say the same since the foreign flick flashes plenty of flesh! Marie-Pierre Castel and Kuêlan Herce de-robe to our delight at the 33-minute mark. The skintastic sight includes views of a dude feeling up their nude boobs! If that’s not hot enough, the ladies also expose their buns. Not to be outdone, Dominique struts her stuff in the buff. As the naked babe fondles a grandfather’s clock, the camera showcases her bare breasts, bush and bum! Needless to say, she’ll wind you up. Yet the real star of the movie is Sandra Julien. Throughout the story, the sexy redhead repeatedly reveals her ravishing rack and rump. As a damsel in distress (and out of dress), the nude ingénue lets a hippy vampire have her way with her by the light of the moon. When Sandy goes full frontal, it doesn’t suck!
