Laws of Deception (1997)

Laws of Deception (1997) stars C. Thomas Howell as a guy who's been living with the memory of his parents' brutal murder for twenty-five years. The macabre mob snuffing inspired him to pursue a career in law, and he's now the top student at the University of Miami Law School. Roomie Brian Austin Green is more interested in bikini stuffers than briefs, and he urges C. Thomas to see about getting some torso tarts to go with all those tedious torts. Along comes Amber Smith, a seductive lady law student who turns C. into a total mambulance chaser. She's a schemer, and everything goes according to her plan. Flash forward to five years later—C. is now a big-deal attorney, and Amber is married to the very mobster who offed his mommy and daddy. Well, not exactly . . . she used to be married to him, but now he's dead and Amber's the suspect. Will taking on her case drive our protagonist over the edge?
