A bohemian artist’s main squeeze battles to keep her free-loving philanderer on a tight leash in the European sex comedy L’Uomo dal pennello d'oro (1969). Edwige Fenech stars as Hong-Kong, the hippy girlfriend of a beatnik artist (Willi Colombini) who’s fond of painting her nude body and using it as a muse. Because it’s the swinging ‘60s, however, Archie (Colombini) isn’t content with monogamy, which is why he’s quick to embrace the advances of another busty flower child (Marcella Michelangeli). Director Franz Marischka pokes fun at the dysfunctional nature of boho arrangements, even as he revels in the hippies’ games. After all, Fenech looks dashing as she bounces around with a layer of body paint on her spectacular frame.
