For instance, with great strides made in organ-transplant technology, there are no longer enough healthy kidneys to go around. "Help" is what any sentient character would cry for upon coming out of a drugged stupor to discover a surgical slice below the short ribs and an empty feeling where previously an essential chunk of anatomy had been. Perhaps if the morals and ethics of the criminal and law-enforcement worlds had evolved apace with the abilities of doctors and surgeons, the ring of organ harvesters who keep their Hong Kong victims shouting for Koma would more easily be put out of business.
