Breathtaking blond babe Jennifer Blanc was born and raised in New York City, cutting her acting teeth on the Broadway stage before heading to LA for a turn on the TV. Her big boob-tube roles breakouts included hit stints as Scott Wolf’s love interest on Party of Five, Jessica Alba's roommate on James Cameron’s Dark Angel, and extensive guest roles on many lauded shows.

In 2010 she formed Blanc Biehn Productions with her husband Michael Biehn (The Terminator, Aliens), and then produced and starred in Biehn’s directorial debut, The Victim (2011).

Jennifer recently took some time to talk to Mr. Skin about upcoming projects, her philosophy on movie nudity, and one-upping Danielle Harris with crazy sex scenes.

Skin Central: Now that you’ve been on all sides of the camera- acting, writing, directing, and producing- which one is your favorite?

Jennifer Blanc-Biehn: Acting will always be my favorite. Producing is almost equal, a close second.

SC: You have an awesome TV resume, from Beverly Hills, 90210 and Married with Children to Party of Five and Dark Angel. How does filming for the boob tube compare to making feature films?

JB: It’s kind of become comparable filming wise, but I do love TV. Films used to take longer, now with digital they can keep a TV-like schedule, at least the filming side of it. Also shows like Southland and Always Sunny in Philadelphia use digital cameras now- like we are using in film. Well, I guess most things do now. So it’s all kind of similar.

SC: Of course we’re huge fans of James Cameron and Jessica Alba. What was it like working with them in Dark Angel?

JB: Jim Cameron was great to me and of course I had heard a lot about him from Michael beforehand. Michael also showed Jim The Victim when we were in post on it, and he was very supportive. Jessica was fun and great to work with. Her smile is always so sweet - still in all her pictures I see she has the same smile. She worked so hard to be Max.

SC: So you have your own production company, Blanc Biehn Productions, with your husband Michael Biehn, and The Victim was your first feature (and one of our personal favorites here at Mr. Skin). What was the catalyst for that? What made you want to go into producing?

JB: Well I always thought Michael should direct. He is so good as an actor with his truth meter and storytelling. So when he was filming The Divide in Winnipeg, I was with him. Xavier Gens actually wrote me into the movie as his dead wife- an allegory- when I was out there. Watching Xavier and Ross Dinerstein put that together was so inspiring and we got amped. We had an opportunity, we had been contemplating, and my old agent David Ankrum had introduced Michael to a client who wanted to make a movie. So we took that opportunity and it all rolled out from there.

The VictimSC: Your character, Annie, in The Victim is a stripper, before she gets mixed up with the wrong crowd and ends up running for her life. Did you visit any strip clubs to research and flesh out your character’s back story?

JB: Not for that role, but I have been to MANY before.

SC: You also had an amazing nude scene in The Victim. Was that because your husband was co-starring and directing? Could Vivid release that as a Jennifer Blanc-Biehn sex tape?

JB: [Laughs] I suppose they could if Anchor Bay let them - they are in charge now - but yes, I think his passion, making that first scene up of the movie helped. Everybody was like “Ok, let’s go”. And yes our passion is strong in life like Annie and Kyle’s.

SAmong FriendsC: How did filming that sex scene compare to your threesome scene in Among Friends?

JB: [Laughs] Well Michael I am so comfortable with, and it was super technical in a very small space.

In Among Friends, AJ I knew for a bit of time - met him at a Comic Con I went to with Danielle Harris for her Hatchet 2 premiere. Chris Meyer I had JUST met through my friend Chris Backus. So we had to get a bit used to each other. [Laughs] I trust Danielle, and she may have been getting me back for her scene in The Victim. But it was different because that one in Among Friends was oddly more graphic and weird, but I had way more clothes on- funny how that can be.

SC: We did a skinterview with Danielle Harris where she talked about how there was no nudity in Among Friends, and that sometimes it can be hotter when there’s a little bit of mystery. Do you have a philosophy on nudity, or its importance in movies?

Danielle in The VictimJB: I think nudity or sexuality can be important for sales. But, I do agree with her that I feel more embarrassed watching my sex scene in Among Friends than my complete nudity in The Victim. And her sex scene in The Victim is way uncomfortable, but she is NOT nude at all. So there is something to be said there.

However the nude scene in The Victim I feel is very beautiful. The images are beautiful not hard core, and I do like that as the human body can be a beautiful thing.

SC: What’s the first movie and/or TV nude scene you remember seeing?

JB:Carrie, the opening shower scene. And Jaime Lee Curtis in Halloween.

BerrySC: Do you have a favorite Hollywood nude scene?

JB: Yes, True Romance and Monster’s Ball.

SC: What's next for you, any projects coming up?

JB: Yes, I have a movie I did supporting role in with Salma Hayek and Gabriella Wright that Joe Lynch directed called Everly. The Weinstein Company, Dimension and Radius will be releasing. Wrong Cops playing theaters now with Marilyn Manson, Mark Burnham, Agnes Bruckner, and so much more. Quentin Dupieux directed. I have a sex scene in that too with Eric Judor. Also I just was cast and finished filming Deadly Retreat for Artigo Indie that Jon Artigo directed, starring me and Jonathan Bennett, Danielle Artigo, Matt Kohler, Susannah Hart Jones, Ben Kurland and many more cool peeps. And you will see boob shot in that of me!

At Blanc Biehn Productions we have a lot of movies in the pipeline. Altered Perception in post, and Hidden in the Woods- the remake- in post as well. The Night Visitor is for sale now, and we just wrapped filming The Night Visitor 2 that Brianne Davis directed.

The Girl, which I directed, is in post, as is She Rises starring me, Michael Biehn, Daisy McCrackin, and Angus Macfadyen from Braveheart who also wrote it. I am very proud of where this film is going- Larry Wade Carrell directed it.

SC: Anything else you’d like to add?

I’d just love people to follow all our films on Facebook and find me on twitter @jenniferblancb. And thanks so much!
