Before there was Revenge of the Nerds (1984), there was this amazing Italian sex comedy about three nerds looking to score with their extra-testicular astronomy proffesor. Incontri molto ravvicinati del quarto tipo (1978), which translates to Very Close Encounters of the 4th Kind, is worth watching just to see alien uniforms that look like an aunt’s idea of a kinky outfit. The film is also strangely believable, as María Baxa bares her bod and proves she’s an anstromer who can inspire a lot of far-out space-nut ideas. Mónica Zanchi also appears as Baxa’s blonde bosom buddy, whose presence provides an Earthly detour to the isle of Lesbos!
