Review

In the Line of Duty: Blaze of Glory (1997) is the tenth film in the long-running "In the Line of Duty" franchise, based on true crime stories from across the country. In this one, the always reliable chin of Bruce Campbell stars as Jeff, a Marine turned cop who has been in complete control of his life every step of the way. That all changes when he meets the absurdly attractive book store worker Jill (Lori Loughlin), who lights a fire in Jeff like he's never felt before, causing the two to throw their morals into the wind and cut loose on a cross country crime spree! The media immediately becomes intrigued by this attractive pair of fugitive felons. With their fame growing with every new bank job, it's up to FBI agent Tom LaSalle (Bradley Whitford) to track them down and put an end to this 1997 version of Bonnie and Clyde! Based on a true story, in real life the Ericksons had some clever ideas, including fake beards and layered clothes designed to make the naturally thin Jeff look fat. Their story doesn't end well, but it made for great TV, which is why there's not only this flick but the Luke Perry and Ashley Judd movie Normal Life (1996) based on their bank robbing spree. Famed never-nude Lori Loughlin doesn't doff her top in the flick which became pretty ironic when she got in legal trouble trying to sneak her kid into USC. But we do get to see Aunt Becky making out with Campbell while wearing a nightie that's kinda see-through. We see you, Lori! Proof even a former cop will do anything for that booty, we can't blame Jeff for what he did after seeing Lori Loughlin in, In the Line of Duty!
