"She thought she was their guardian angel, but was she really their nanny from Hell?" So declares the tagline of the moody spooker In a Dark Place (2006). Artfully alluring Leelee Sobieski plays Anna, an art therapist who moves into a mansion to work with a pair of orphaned children who live there. Tara Fitzgerald portrays the estate's overseer, Ms. Grose. As Anna settles in, eerie events unfold (as is wont to happen in Gothic manors occupied by weird foundlings and their spinster caretaker). The highlights of In a Dark Place are a lesbian tussle involving Leelee and Tara and the former revealing her entire naked body. Her dark place is most sweet. And hairy.
