Il miele del diavolo (1986)

A harried surgeon botches a crucial operation and incurs the wrath of the patient’s crazed girlfriend in the cult Euro thriller Il Miele del diavolo (1986). Brett Halsey stars as the negligent doctor who’s faced with worse things than a medical malpractice suit after allowing a young man (Stefano Madia) to die on his operating table. The patient’s girlfriend (Blanca Marsillach) grows so obsessed with revenge that she kidnaps the old sawbones and subjects him to a hellish assortment of sadistic tortures. In between moments of nerve-shredding violence, director Lucio Fulci pauses to allow his female leads the opportunity to undress. Marsillach, Corinne Clery, and Eulalia Ramón all get into the spirit of things by acting out a wild assortment of B&D and S&M scenarios.
