Anora was one of 2024's sexiest films. It won the Palm d'Or and it recently won Best Picture at the Critics Choice Awards. It is nominated for several Oscars and it is rumored to be the frontrunner for Best Screenplay (my personal favorite category as I always feel like that's the actual best film of the year without all of the dressing and noise). Anora was also a true treat due to the wonderful nudity from Mikey Madison.

Starlet
Starlet is a lesser-known film by the same director of Anora, Sean Baker. Starlet plays on a lot of similar themes as Anora when it comes to sex work. Dree Hemingway plays a young lady who moonlights in porn. She buys a thermos from a neighbor but finds a ton of cash stashed inside. She befriends the old lady from whom she bought it.
Zola
I'm surprised this film isn't talked about more because it was funny, spicy, well-acted, and very well-made. It also had that Elevated Florida feeling that A24 was keen on making at the time (reminiscent of another Sean Baker classic, The Florida Project).
This film is based on a series of Tweets that allegedly told the true story of a waitress who meets a stripper who asks her to come with her for a weekend to make more money and she pulls her into a very dangerous world of sex, drugs, and crime. Riley Keough plays the wild girl who takes her new friend played by the wonderful Taylour Paige. This film is fun and sexy!
American Honey
Director Andrea Arnold is one of those indie directors who never misses. Her film American Honey is sorely underrated and it has much of the grit that lies underneath the Cinderella story in Anora. Teenager Sasha Lane drops everything to join a bunch of traveling salespeople on a road trip that introduces her to partying hard, breaking the law, and falling in love.
Oh, and Riley Keough is in the movie, too. She opens the door with one tit out.
Spring Breakers
This movie was such a moment! Harmony Korine provided college-aged girls in the 2010s with the perfect coming-of-age film for them. A group of girls go on spring break where they experiment with sex and drugs in such a way that they get arrested and bailed out by their shady drug dealer. The movie starred all of the It Girls of the moment: Ashley Benson, Selena Gomez, Rachel Korine, and Vanessa Hudgens.
And those girls were IT. They looked smoking hot in this movie and they had fantastic chemistry with one another. They also had some very tantalizing scenes that showed a bit of skin. This is the best spring break ever!
