Historically, the Greek island of Kefalonia was where Italians soldiers during the Second World War got placed in an extremely difficult situation. It was at this penultimate point in 1943 where they had to decide to remain allies of the Germans or to cut ties with them. Since they chose the latter option, the Germans planned on wiping out all 8,000 soldiers on the island. It marks a turning point in the Italian consciousness, the impulse towards resistance. The story of I giorni dell’amore e dell’odio (2001) recounts these events through two brothers, Helberg and Wolfgang, both of whom are in love with Marthe.
Mandala Tayde plays Marthe, the object of affection between the two brothers. We get a side profile of her bared chest as she embraces one of the brothers in a dark interior. And Silvia Filiagi also has a few sexy lingerie shots throughout the film. They may be able to resist the Germans, but they’ll be hard pressed to resist these women!
