Credited with launching the career of the brainy blonde Greta Gerwig, there are many who believe when it comes to mumblecore, manic pixie dream girl movies, Hannah Takes the Stairs (2007) takes the cake. Filmed without a script and starring a bunch of mumblecore directors, the movie starts as Hannah’s relationship with the slacker musician Mike (Mark Duplass) is drawing to a close. He just quit his job, knows she wants to dump him because of it, and decides he'll be the one to initiate the breakup after it becomes clear this relationship's going nowhere. Hannah's your classic quirky character that seems to only exist in these types of movies. Fresh out of grad school, she's currently writing a play about Kant and Sir Isaac Newton hanging out together as teens. Because that's something real people do. Not one to stay single for long, Hannah rebounds with her nerdy to the point of creepy coworker Paul (Andrew Bujalski), which doesn't work out well once she starts to fall for her better looking and cooler coworker Matt (Kent Osborne). Will she find love, or realize she might be better off alone? No matter what swinging dick she picks, Hannah's going to be way too hot for them; something made abundantly clear after seeing her body. On top of lying next to Ry Russo-Young while they're both in their undies, we get to watch as Hannah showers, plays with her tits as Mike talks about quitting his job, flashes bush as she puts her panties on, and even shows hooter and cooter while playing the trumpet in a bathtub. So quirky! With a willingness to flash like that, Greta Gerwig earned those long, lip licking stares with her work in Hannah Takes the Stairs
