Review

Hadewijch (2009) opens with our main character being expelled from a nunnery. But before you get too excited, take note that Celine (Julie Sokolowski) is being kicked out of the sisterhood for being too devout, not for crimes of passion. Yes, this art-house meditation on the nature of religious fervor may not be your typical nunsploitation scenario, but luckily Julie answers mens' prayers anyway by parading around fully nude after taking a bath. Forgive me, Father, for I am stiff!
