Joe Arquette plays Jesus Feliciano, a.k.a. G.I. Jesus (2006), a Mexican national who enlists in the U.S. army to secure north-of-the-border citizenship. After a stint fighting in Iraq, Jesus returns home all kinds of rattled and begins to believe that his family’s lives are in danger. Despite (or because of) the heavy subject matter, G.I. Jesus is a satire played for dark laughs, except for when co-star Patricia Mota bares her butt. That level of heat is serious. G.I. Jesus will get you to rise again.
