The musical fantasy Forbidden Zone (1980) — not to be confused with the softcore sci-fi pic Forbidden Zone: Alien Abduction (1996) — is an eye-bulging, head-spinning, jaw-dropping, bone-popping, rock-n-roll freak show to end all cult classics! Join us for a journey into the Sixth Dimension where King Fausto (Hervé Villechaize) rules a society of topless cuties, including the actor’s then-wife Susan Tyrrell in dual roles as Queen Doris and Ruth Henderson. No matter which one Susan plays, she’ll have you playing with yourself when she flashes her rack on camera. If that’s not erotic enough, Gisele Lindley portrays the princess of this netherworld who never wears a top. As such, we repeatedly get to see her perky peaks throughout the flick — emphasis on flick! In fact, the panty-clad blonde bares her breasticles at the 20-, 36-, 38-, 46- and 58-minute marks! The movie also includes Viva as the Ex-Queen, Joe Spinell as Mr. Henderson, and The Kipper Kids as themselves. But most of all, this is an Elfman family film. Director Richard Elfman has cameos as a masseuse and a prisoner; his brother Danny Elfman provides the score as well as a portrayal of Satan; and Marie-Pascale Elfman exposes more than just her acting chops. As Susan B. “Frenchy” Hercules, she reveals her bare chest and lesbian preference! Even though the movie disappeared quickly after its initial release and was unavailable for years since, it now can be seen on DVD — proving that this zone will never be forbidden again!
