Filth (2013)

Crime and black comedy collide in Filth (2013), not to be confused with the Madonna movie Filth and Wisdom (2008) or The Sex Pistols documentary The Filth and the Fury (2000). Based on Irvine Welsh’s same-named novel, this R-rated film follows the exploits of Detective Sergeant Bruce “Robbo” Robertson (James McAvoy). The crooked cop has a ton of prejudices and addictions, yet is still somehow up for a promotion at his job. When he’s put on a murder case, Robbo decides not just to solve it, but to use it as an opportunity to disgrace his colleagues. Not surprisingly, things don’t go his way. But things go Mr. Skin’s way in regards to the film’s flesh on display! Set in Edinburgh, the flick drips with local color as well as the oozing appeal of its sexy starlets. Chrissie Gillman (Kate Dickie) bares her bitty boppers while getting rammed by Robbo. Not to be outdone, a dealer’s girlfriend (Jodie McCallum) bounces her nude boobs while Ray Lennox (Jamie Bell) bangs her from behind. The movie also includes Joanne Froggatt, Natasha O’Keeffe, Shirley Henderson, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Trudie Styler, and the fab figure on Imogen Poots! As Amanda Drummond, the latter lady looks luscious in black lingerie. The same can be said for the comely characters Carole Robertson (Shauna Macdonald) and Size Queen (Pollyanna McIntosh). There’s even some lesbian action via a porn that McAvoy watches at the twenty minute mark. Suffice it to say, Filth lives up to its dirty name and then some!
