Cannes, Venice, Toronto, Berlin, Sundance - these are the big film festivals that we look forward to every year. Festival season has begun with Cannes and Venice already happening recently and Toronto currently in full effect. Between the reviews and films that are to come, here are some of the 2024-2025's festival season films that we hope have nudity:
Joker 2: Folie a Deux
The Joker sequel is highly anticipated after the success of the first one, but that's not the only reason the public is so fascinated with this sequel. We can't wait to see Lady Gaga star and sing her heart out alongside Joaquin Phoenix. If we've learned anything about Gaga so far it's that she will do anything for the movie - even go nude!
Maria
Angelina Jolie returns to a leading role performance as she plays opera singer Maria Callas during her final days in 1970s Paris. I am excited for Jolie to step in front of the camera once again. She has been producing and directing, but I love looking at her. I know I'm not the only one! I'm hopeful for the sophisticated sexpot to take something off.
Nightbitch
Amy Adams turns into a dog...and that's the plot. The body horror film premiered at the festival this week to rave reviews which all seemed surprised to give the film good reviews. Amy might go nude in the movie. Granted, it might not be glamorous, but a naked Amy Adams is ALWAYS welcome.
The Last Showgirl
Pamela Anderson is enjoying her comeback where she goes makeup free on the red carpet and stars in a role that feels like it was meant for her. Seriously! Who else could play a gorgeous, aging showgirl in Vegas like Pamela Anderson can? I can't think of anyone more perfect for that kind of film.
The rest of the cast is rounded out by young talented actresses like Billie Lourd, Kiernan Shipka, and Brenda Song. Jamie Lee Curtis also stars. That's a powerful cast of gorgeous women!
Eden
A bunch of German moves to the Galapagos Islands to start a free, progressive society in the 1930s. Sydney Sweeney, Ana de Armas, and Vanessa Kirby star. Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and say there's nudity in this. That plot coupled with that cast coupled with the fact that this is based on a true story and I know that one of those characters had many lovers in the true story has me ready to take my bets on its nudity.
My ONLY hesitation is that Ron Howard is the director. Reviews are already speculating that squeaky-clean Ron Howard is the wrong director for this eccentric story with dark undertones. As long as he lets them be naked and free in their island paradise, I don't care!
Babygirl
Finally, Nicole Kidman's sexy new film premiered at the Venice Film Festival to rave reviews. She was even awarded Best Actress yesterday but was unable to accept the award because her mother passed away this week. I wish Kidman and her family all the best during this difficult time. A good way to send her positive vibes is to praise her performance in Babygirl and its promise of nudity.
If you don't know what to expect, then listen here. It's going to be good. She plays a high-powered CEO who begins an affair with an intern in a film filled with complex psycho-sexual games. Oh, I can't wait! I love Kidman best when she plays a super-empowered sexual dynamo.
