Exiled (2006)

Hong Kong director Johnny To has another tough-guy classic on his hands with Exiled (2006). The shoot-’em-up is ironic, but not so that you can’t enjoy the sheer action of this violently stylized good time. A popular hit at the Venice Film Festival, Exiled will not be exiled by film fanatics and casual fans in for a creative take on the Sergio Leone existential Western. Now if that sounds too heady, fear not, that other organ is equally taken care of in the fair form of Ellen Chan. Familiar to fans of Hong Kong films for her nude résumé, which includes Fatal Love (1995) and The Eternal Evil of Asia (1995), Ellen will leave your pants pistol smoking.
