A prodigal daughter returns home with her eight-year-old son in tow in the German TV movie Emilie Richards - Entscheidung des Herzens (2011). In the bucolic New Zealand countryside, wealthy landowner Williams (Craig Walsh-Wrightson) is trying to buy up all of his neighbors' land. Then Casey (Luise Bähr) returns home after nearly a decade away with her son Tommy (Dayne Johnston), whom none of her estranged family members knew existed. Her former lover John (Simon Boer) suspects that the boy may be his, but no one knows the truth-- except for maybe the local priest, defrocked for betraying the sacred trust of confession.
