Biography

Making her official acting debut at the age of 44, Elena Fiore got off to a late start, but more than made up for it with her ultra-curvy figure. She was cast as Amalia Finocchiaro, an overweight, middle-aged woman with sexual desires to explore, in Lina Wertmüller’s comedy The Seduction of Mimi (1972), original Italian title Mimì metallurgico ferito nell’onore. While she wasn’t the title character—Mimi is actually a guy, played by renowned Italian actor Giancarlo Gianni—she did leave quite the impression with her bared backside and bust, both pillow-like and generous to the extreme. A favorite of the famous Oscar-nominated Italian director Wertmüller, Elena was cast in two more of her films, also starring Gianni. She took a part playing the character Donna Carmela in Film d’amore e d’anarchia, ovvero ‘stamattina alle 10 in via dei Fiori nella nota casa di tolleranza…’ (1973), a long-ass title that translates to a simple Love & Anarchy; and as Concettina Frafuso in Pasqualino Settebellezze (1975), or Seven Beauties (where Wertmüller’s Oscar nods came from). Elena, a native of Naples, completed seven additional films during her short career, all of them comedies. Trading in Gianni for Marcello Mastroianni, she took a role as Donna Filomena in Giallo Napoletano (1979), aka Neapolitan Mystery. Her final film at the age of 53, was playing the role of Anita in the film Il Marchese del Grillo (1981), aka The Marquis of Grillo, a comedic historical film that won two David di Donatello Awards, and was nominated for five others (not related to the Teeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Donatellos are like Italy’s version of the Academy Awards).
