An ambitious Spanish capitalist flees to Venezuela in an attempt to make some fast cash in the screwball comedy El Fascista, la beata y su hija desvirgada (1978). As Spain continues its slow lurch toward democracy, Juan discovers that money’s becoming tougher and tougher to come by. For this reason he abandons his homeland in favor of a distant outpost in South America, where he hopes his get-rich-quick scheme will pay fruitful dividends. Juan’s first course of action: coaxing a wealthy heir into marrying his foxy daughter. The moneygrubber’s progeny is just one of many Latina lookers in Joaquín Coll Espona’s film who are easy on the eyes. Linda Lay certainly lives up to her name, while Patricia Rivera pitches in with a skintillating reveal of her own.
