Eden Lake (2008)

In between flashing her ravishing rack in The Safe House (2002), Dead Bodies (2003), Russian Dolls (2005), Mrs. Henderson Presents (2005), Puffball (2007), Joe’s Palace (2007), True Detective (2015), Britannia (2017-2018), The Cursed (2021) and Yellowstone (2018-2023), comely Kelly Reilly decided to be a tease in Eden Lake (2008). Indeed, it’s a bit of a mystery why the skintastic actress didn’t doff her duds in this chiller diller. Apparently, Kelly didn’t get the memo that no one wore clothes in the Garden of Eden. The co-production from Great Britain and France follows a nursery school teacher named Jenny Greengrass (Reilly). Unfortunately, everything goes awry when she and her guy Steve Taylor (Michael Fassbender) go on a camping trip. Instead of a dream vacation, the two experience a nightmare when they’re attacked by a sadistic gang of teenagers (played by Bronson Webb, Finn Atkins, James Gandhi, and Thomas Turgoose) who are led by a young psycho called Brett (Jack O’Connell). A desperate struggle for survival ensues which includes a bouncy chase, bondage, a few murders, and Kelly’s killer curves. Even though the red-haired hottie doesn’t expose her private parts, she does throw audiences a bone when she goes sunbathing in her itsy bitsy teeny weeny blue bikini. The sexy swimwear shows off Kel’s cleavage! In fact, Steve suggests Jenny take her top off. Alas, the darn hoodlums arrive just when the scene is getting good. Variety described this movie as a “thriller-cum-horror pic.” Mr. Skin definitely likes the sound of the second word!
