Girls will be girls — and that can mean trouble when a pair of Catholic students play tricks on naughty nuns and horny devils in Don’t Deliver Us from Evil (1970). Also known as Mais ne nous délivrez pas du mal, the French flick was considered so controversial, it scored an X rating during its initial release in the UK, and was totally banned from being shown in its own homeland! Like the Peter Jackson thriller Heavenly Creatures (1994) with Kate Winslet and Melanie Lynskey, the plot of this drama is based on New Zealand’s Parker–Hulme murder case of 1954. Only this version is a lot more liberal with the facts — and with the sex scenes! Jeanne Goupil plays Anne, a nubile brunette who likes to strut her stuff in just her bra and panties. The same can be said for blonde babe Catherine Wagener who portrays Anne’s best friend Lore. At first, the gal pals enjoy harmless pranks like tattling on two nuns they claim to have seen kissing. But their mischievous escapades escalate when they begin to lure dirty old men into compromising positions. The hotties even set fire to the home of a cowherder (Gérard Darrieu) after he harassingly leers at them. Later, a grown motorist (Bernard Dhéran) tries to take Lore by force. As they struggle, we get to see her breast, butt and bush! But the girls have the last laugh when they off the perv! Later, the killer cuties give themselves to Satan. Lucky devil!
